I'll talk to them. Xichen is a curator, they exorcise evil spirits, so it makes sense that his power could affect them.

[ He is happy to know it doesn't hurt Newt Peter has been afraid of that, of causing Newton more pain in the process. The magic flute is a start, and Peter can only hope that if others join forces, it will be enough to kick away the Precursors. ]
